In the wee morning hours, perch fishing on the lakeshore of Lake Michigan in Chicago can be a solitary pursuit. This jaunt down to the lake did not produce a catch, however the experience for my grandson was memorable.

I’m fortunate that I’ve traveled and continue to travel to some beautiful places in this country. Chicago and it’s lakeshore still remain a favorite of mine when it comes to cities. My dad would occassionally go smelt fishing near the Aquarium.
Enjoy those special times with the little ones….they grow up way to fast!
I have been smelt fishing with my husband. We use to go by McCormick Place when we were younger. Yes, you are right. I will enjoy these precious times. Thanks. Enjoy the day. Jamie 🙂
Just beautiful! 🙂
Thanks, Diane. 🙂
What a beautiful picture One for ‘memories’……Diane
So true, Diane. Thanks. 🙂
Oh yes indeed!!!
Glad you like it! 🙂
I’m a little behind reading your blog, but wanted to just pop and and say great photo! It’s a serene kind of solitary.
I’m finding these weekly photo challenges to be a lot of fun, especially after last week. Mine is scheduled to post later this evening.
I cannot wait to see your post. I, too, am enjoying the challenges. Now that I am back at school I have less time to think of something to blog about every day. These sure do help to get the juices flowing. 🙂
