I do not camp.
It is not because I am a princess or because I think I am better than that.
It is because I have had some hair-raising experiences camping that I do not wish to repeat.
For one, Camping =wet.
The last time I camped, my suitcase was floating in the tent.
Literally, it was floating.
It seems that nature does not wish to be kind to me when I sleep outdoors in it.
I have had a tree fall in front of my car, a giant spider taking up residence in my sleeping bag, and an attempted murderer prowling the campground.
Camping is just not my cup of tea.
Do not get me wrong, I enjoy bonfires, smores, and playing cards by lantern light.
I love to cook over the open fire and eat mouth-watering bacon for breakfast.
So there are some great things about camping, however, no matter where I set up my sleeping bag, there is always a stray rock that ends up in my back.
I also think bug bites and hot tents are unappealing.
Finally, I like air conditioning, running water, and showers that do not have spider webs in them.
I like room service and movie channels.
I guess I am kind of a princess.
I just do not like to camp.

Thank you for sponsoring, Tim. You are the best! 😉
Don’t forget an indoor bathroom! (smile) I guess you have reason not to like camping.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Gotta have an indoor bathroom! Preferably in a Marriot. LOL! 🙂
I got my fill of camping as a Girl Scout. Now, I’m happy with a house in the woods and indoor plumbing.
A house in the woods or by a lake is just great by me. As long as I don’t have to sleep out in the elements– I amd good! 🙂
We both on the same page as far as camping goes. I also love all the other outdoorsie things that go with camping but come bed time, I want just that, a real bed with 4 solid walls around me and a roof and all that and as Francine said, a bathroom that I don’t have to walk a mile in the rain and mud to get to 🙂
I am with you. I prefer a really nice hotel, but I will take a cottage by the lake that is not too rustic. 🙂
We love to camp. However, I would pry think differently if I had the experiences you have had! I think a big thing in life is recognizing what works for you and, sometimes more importantly, what doesn’t!
So true, and as hard as I tried, I realized that I am not a camper. So Marriot, here I come! 🙂 Enjoy the day.
I hear ya’ Girlfriend! (Got a chuckle out of that one…) 🙂
Thanks! 🙂
Gosh if I’d had your experiences camping, I wouldn’t want to camp either. Although I’ve been known to enjoy a night or two in a tent, I much prefer the conveniences of my RV. Entertaining post 🙂
Thanks, Ingrid. I think I would much prefer the RV, too. It is like a rolling Marriot in many ways. A great way to travel. Thanks for your comments. 🙂
Ha, ha, ha… I am with you on all the above. I would gladly camp if all the above was removed from the occasion… And, let’s admit it, we are Princesses too! LOL
Okay, I will admit that I am a Princess. LOL! 🙂
Here you go! 🙂
