Andy Griffith Dies at 86

Posted on

In honor of actor Andy Griffith, here is the opening credits of “The Andy Griffith Show.”

Andy Griffith died today at the age of 86.  The folksy comedian and star of the 1960’s show entitled “ The Andy Griffith Show” played a wise and good-humored sheriff of Mayberry.  He also was the star of Matlock in the 1980’s & 1990’s where he played a folksy defense lawyer.

Andy Griffith’s characters were wise and wholesome, and a throwback to a simpler time.  He will be missed.

What good is living life if you don't share all the experiences, mistakes, and knowledge you have gained? I am a grandmother, a wife, a mother of two grown children, a Jr. High Teacher for almost two decades, an elementary principal and I want to share my experiences.

  2. I grew up with re-runs of “The Andy Griffith Show”. Is still one of those programs that when I see it in re-runs, it never gets old no matter how many times I’ve seen that episode. Also loved his movie “No Time for Sergeants”.
