What good is living life if you don't share all the experiences, mistakes, and knowledge you have gained? I am a grandmother, a wife, a mother of two grown children, a Jr. High Teacher for almost two decades, an elementary principal and I want to share my experiences.

  1. When my sister and I were children, we would walk to the record store every Saturday and buy 45 records with our allowance. We each received a dollar, as an allowance, and records were a dollar apiece. We would buy our favorite songs and take them home to play on our little portable record player. My sister liked David Cassidy songs from the Partridge Family, and I liked Donny Osmond songs from the Osmond Brothers. When we wanted to compromise, we purchased the Jackson 5 record. We gathered quite a collection of 45’s. A few years ago, my sister gave me all of her 45’s so that I could play them on my record player. Every time I play one of the old scratchy records, it brings back memories. I am so thankful to have an awesome sister.
