What good is living life if you don't share all the experiences, mistakes, and knowledge you have gained? I am a grandmother, a wife, a mother of two grown children, a Jr. High Teacher for almost two decades, an elementary principal and I want to share my experiences.
I love the piece, “Summertime 1894”, by Mary Cassatt. She was an impressionist artist from America who moved to France to study. The picture is of a young woman and child in a small row boat on a lake. They are feeding the ducks and swans that have come up to their little boat. It is a tranquil scene in blues, greens and a pop of a red hat that sits fashionably upon the older woman’s head. I can see this hanging in my living room. The colors would be perfect, and the scene of peaceful bliss on a summer’s day would set the mood of the room. Claude Monet’s La Promenade.
The whipping wind created in the brush strokes is brilliant. The lady’s expression just draws me in. ❤ it
I, too, love Claude Monet’s La Promenade. It is my second favorite piece of art. 🙂
