  5. Hi…can you help explain in an easy way….How do you get links to blogs like you did. The only way I can do it is to attach it to a number or a word but not on it’s own. What was explained to me is for eg. I nominate a blogger and have to put …1. then highlight that…then go to the above symbol of a link and click on that..and paste the blog site that I previously copied…into the url space and then below put the 1. and click link and then go to blog and left click beside 1. and paste again.. I don’t know how to do it properly without all that ! If I simply copy and paste it doesn’t work like a link and it doesn’t take you directly to that person’s blog site. Did I confuse you?. There must be a simpler way! ….Diane

    • This is how I have linked the words to a website…

      Method :
      1. At the address bar of the site you wish to copy, click the address bar once, and it will turn blue.
      2. If you have a windows computer, copy the blue address by pressing Ctrl + C OR right click with the mouse and click copy.
      3. Then go to your draft at your site. Highlight the words you wish to link.
      4. Go to the chain link symbol (Insert/Edit Link) on your tool bar for the draft.
      5. This will pop up a hyperlink form. Where it asks for the URL that is where you will paste the address of the site you wish to copy.
      6. Click Ctrl + V to paste or right click on your mouse again, and click Paste.
      7. Once the address is copied, click Add Link.
      8. That should underline the words in your draft that you have highlighted, and it will link the reader to that site.

I hope this is helpful. :)

      • Okay..so what you say I do…But there is a difference in how yours looks and mine.
Point 3 ..you need to highlight a word or sometimes in my case I use a number 1. So I highlight 1.and go to the chain link #4. and paste the address then
        5. and then 6 and 7…
and it changes the number 1. I put in, as part of the link and then when pasting the URL beside it, the number 1. and the link are attached…ie line underneath both and can’t be separated.

On your list When you nominated the 1 2 3 numbers are in black and your link is separate ..not conjoined..See what I mean? You can see how mine appears if you look at the post re Beautiful Surprise and how my nominations appear…

Don’t worry about spending a lot of time on my question …I just don’t understand the difference if I’m doing what you’re doing? Not to worry…Diane

      • Diane,
Try putting a space after your number. Then only hightlight the Name you want to link, don’t include the number. That may be the solution.:)

  6. Congratulations your award. Thanks for the nomination and the visit on the blog!
