What good is living life if you don't share all the experiences, mistakes, and knowledge you have gained? I am a grandmother, a Jr. High Teacher for 15 years, a wife of 31 years, a mother of two grown children, and I want to share my experiences.

  1. Today, I went on a grand adventure of firsts. I took the Metra train for the first time into Union Station in Chicago. I walked from Union Station to the Daley Center to do my civic duty as a juror. I was put on a trial for the first time, a two-day trial. The sites I experienced were not all firsts, however, I did see St. Peter’s Church, the JW Marriot, and a gigantic windmill. For the first time, I was able to enjoy lunch downtown with my Hubby. He took me to a great Chinese place that he frequents often for lunch that is only a short walk from his office building. At the end of the day, I ran to Union Station to catch the train back home, but alas, was still not on time. I had to wait for the next train, but luckily, my husband was there to wait with me. Overall, it was quite the adventure, and the good thing is that tomorrow, I will do it over again.

  2. Good topic. Hmm, having young kids has reduced the number of adventures I can take, but finding new hiking trails for the family to enjoy is always lots of fun. Always something new to see and explore.

    • When my kids were young we spent many a day hiking in the forest preserves near our home. Those were some of the best adventures I have ever had. Thanks for commenting on my post. :)

  4. I’m leaving tomorrow for my adventure to learn about sustainable organic farming…volunteering on a local Farm for 7 days through WWOOF USA (world wide opportunities on organic farms). I am grateful to have this opportunity! Best of luck to you with all of your adventures.
